What’s great about this recipe is how easy and quick it is to whip up. In just five minutes, you can have the batter ready to go in the oven. It’s a perfect addition to your list of simple dessert recipes that you can make in a hurry. You can eat this spice cake as-is, or you can top it off with powdered sugar or an easy powdered sugar or caramel frosting.
This recipe is pretty much a no-fail recipe. You would really have to try hard to make it fail! Even though there seem to be a lot of ingredients, they are common ingredients you already have at home and it’s a quick process to gather them and dump them in the mixing bowl as you’re mixing. I really like this recipe because it’s easy to make in just one bowl without a lot of complicated directions. Who doesn’t like fewer dishes to wash?
When it comes to gatherings and potlucks, this cake is a crowd-pleaser. I often choose to bring it to events because it’s easy to make, delicious, and more unique than many other desserts. I made this yesterday for the first time. It is so good! My husband who is not a Spice Cake fan, even liked it. I used Low Fat Buttermilk to cut down on fat. I also used Flaxseed Meal and water as egg substitutes(Vegan eggs) to help boost the nutrition. It came out pretty much perfect and is a new favorite recipe. Thanks for posting it!
