Thank you so much for sharing! I am down to 5 eggs and I’m holding on to those for as long as I can. We are all wanting something sweet around here, but I can only think of desserts that call for eggs. Not anymore! Thank you, you are Superwoman!

Carmen Elly’s is not in DOAD but look up Hot Fudge Cake in there and that is a lava cake and just a larger version of Elly’s

I wanted to ask you all for prayer. I had tongue cancer surgery and finished my radiation treatments a month ago. I only can eat tube feedings but I have ALWAYS LOVED the recipes from my elderly DOAD and am looking forward to volume 2. Anyway I can’t wait to eat again your yummy recipes. Please pray I heal fast! Thanks

Oh Tacy. I am so sorry to hear about what you are going through. That is so hard. We will most certainly pray for you that you will heal quickly and that it won’t be long when you can eat normally again. You guys (our readers and viewers) mean so much to us and especially those of you who have been with us so long. Once again thank you for letting us know about your surgery and Dear Heavenly Father I am praying right now for Tacy that you will comfort her, give her strength and heal her. We are so grateful that we have a God we can go to and cling to in times like this and that you love us so much – more than we can ever imagine. You are like a mother who lovingly holds her hurting child and comforts her. Thank you that you have given us other Christians who can lift us up and pray for each other in times when we are to tired and weak to do it ourselves. Thank you so much in Jesus’s sweet and precious name. Amen

Be sure to pop in when you are feeling better and let us know how you are doing. Love, Jill

In April 2022 I finished chemo for breast cancer and needed to relearn how to cook. I had no energy for it during chemo so ate a lot of frozen dinners. I bought the DOAD cook book and dived in. Love every recipe I’ve tried. After months of gut disturbances and a self imposed elimination diet, I discovered soybean oil and other soy products don’t agree with me. I’m using the cookbook even more often now as comercially baked products, and restaurants all use soybean oil. Just sharing in case anyone else has intermittent gut disturbances and can’t figure what’s wrong. I blamed chemo but also learned that some people who had covid have developed allergies they didn’t have before.
