7 Easy Dinner Recipes That Take 10 Minutes

Today I am going to share 7 easy dinner recipes for family meals that take less than 10 minutes to prepare. These dinner recipes are not only easy, but they are pretty much universally loved by adults and kids– even picky eaters.

If you often find yourself frustrated about what to make for your family dinner, you might be over-thinking meal planning. Making meal planning too complicated is one of the biggest causes of stress and procrastination that leads to eating out or grabbing fast food. Eating out is the biggest reason why people spend way too much money on their food budgets and most of us don’t really appreciate restaurant or fast food when it’s an everyday thing. Sure, it’s nice to go out once in a while for a special occasion, but too much of a good thing just isn’t a good thing.

We highly recommend keeping a list of around 10 easy dinner recipes that you make more often than anything else. You don’t always have to be dreaming up new gourmet meals for your family. Families love the consistency of predictable meals and having a small collection of easy dinner recipes for family meals you make the most often is actually comforting for them. Then, if you like, you can occasionally throw in something more fancy when you’re feeling extra adventurous.

The recipes in this post are the perfect kind of recipes for easy dinners your family will love and even look forward to eating.

If you do it right, cooking meals at home can actually be faster and easier than eating out. You don’t have to deal with cranky kids and crowds AND the food tastes a lot better!

With meal prep, I usually only count the time it takes in actual work. I do not count the cooking time because the time I spend preparing the food is what takes so much energy and while it’s baking, I can easily do other things.

While I’m waiting for the food to cook in an oven or crockpot, I don’t need to watch it. Instead, I can do something else like clean up the kitchen, help the kids or do some laundry or housecleaning, since I’m not actually cooking during that time.

So in this post, I’m sharing some of my favorite go-to easy dinner recipes that not only help you save money on groceries but save you time as well — AND your family will love them!

The previous page wanted to know my favorite quick & easy recipe. I am hoping this is where it was expected to be entered.

slow cooker BBQ chicken (or pork chops or beef)

put meat in slow cooker add equal amounts of ketchup and coca cola. Cook all day…result = BBQ dinner.

I really like the crock pot salsbury steak. I have a cheap recipe, but the soup has gotten expensive. Yours is really cheap and simple. My husband says this is a keeper.

Thank you for the quick and easy recipes! I always look for recipes that use ingredients I keep on hand, and use very few ingredients as well.
I was wondering though. The slow cooked roast recipe does look delish, but wouldn’t the electric usage eat up any savings of using an inexpensive cut of meat? 15 Hours would make the roast yummy, but that’s a lot of electric!

Thank goodness I have an electrical genius in the family and he did the research for me. Because of the low temperature it doesn’t use that much and is still cheaper to buy the cheap cut of meat.

    Hi –

Why not use butter with the oven fried chicken with biscuits? Does the butter burn?

Yes the butter will usually burn faster than the chicken will cook.
