Homemade apple crisp is always a yummy family favorite and this quick and easy apple crisp recipe will help you make it in a snap! It’s great for unexpected company!

Here’s a delicious quick and easy apple crisp recipe. Apple crisp is a great alternative to apple pie when you just don’t have enough time to put a complete pie together. Just keep the ingredients in your pantry for a fast dessert when unexpected company shows up.
It’s also a nice addition to any family dinner and kids and families love it. Apple crisp makes an easy after school snack and great potluck dish. I often use dehydrated apples if I have them on hand. Just boil the dehydrated apples in some water and then when softened drain off the water and use instead of pie filling.
This homemade apple breakfast cobbler is another yummy apple crisp recipe you can toss in the crockpot the night before and have a great breakfast in the morning! It’s great any time, but sets an especially good mood when served during the holidays!

I have really enjoyed your family and cooking tips. I don’t even like to
Cook/bake❣️Also love Jill and have been touched by all that you’ve all gone through.
I’m grateful for everything you’ve taught me and will use the tools. I’m soon to be 76 y/o and never want to stop Learning.
May God bless all of you abundantly!
Claudia
Oh thank you so much Claudia that is so sweet of you to let us know. Had to chuckle when you said you don’t even like to cook/bake. I know the feeling. In my “old” age now I am starting to not like cooking as much myself. : )
Do you use instant oatmeal or old fashioned?
You can use quick cook or instant but not old fashioned.
I used sweet apple cider instead of water. Wow, more apple flavor! But, in these times, water is certainly fine too! I’m 60 plus and learning every day. Thank you for your videos and recipes!
Great tip Fran and you are welcome
I make the apple crisp at least 4 times a year. My husband and I remember eating that when we were kids in school. Now I share it with others thanks to you and this great cookbook. (The snickerdoodles are the same, only those are made 6X a year in double batches:) I just made the apple crisp for us and a neighbor family. Thank you for all the great recipes!
Patti, AKA Catlover
Hi Patti how are you doing? : ) I don’t get to chat as often with you guys since I am on the live stream so much and really miss it. I love apple crisp too. These recipes are all really good but my all time favorite and the one I usually make is my grandma’s recipe and it is a little different than most and much easier. Here it is in case you might want to try it sometime.
Grandma’s Apple Crisp
6 apples, peeled and sliced
1 cup firmly packed white sugar
3/4 cup flour
6-8 Tbsp. soft butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Arrange apples in well greased baking dish
Mix remaining ingredients -Spread evenly over apples
Pour 1/4 cup water over top
Bake 45 mins until apples are tender and top crisp
Hi! Quick question, Did you mean 1 cup of firmly packed brown sugar instead of white sugar?
Thanks Tammy
No Tammy I wasn’t sure what recipe you were talking about they all had the right sugar. Now for crisps and cobblers I do sometimes do 1/2 white sugar and 1/2 brown sugar of the amount it calls for.
