Save Money Using Gift Cards Specials

If you like to eat out, check and see if your favorite restaurant is offering gift card specials right now.

I just drove by Applebee’s and if you buy a $50 Gift Card, you get a $10 gift card also.

At Spangles (a local hamburger joint), if you buy a $10 gift card you get a free Christmas CD. My brother and his family were going there to eat. They saw the deal, so they bought the gift cards first, then ordered dinner and paid for it with the gift card. They got a free Christmas CD to take home just for eating out that night which they were going to do anyway.

So if you’re eating out, see if the restaurant is offering any gift card specials before you order. If so, get a gift card first, then order, then pay for your meal with the gift card!

Check out Restaurants.com. They have sales up to 80% off. You can get a $25 certificate for about $2 then. The recipient has to spend maybe $35 to get the $25 off but it is still a great deal. We use these when we go to AZ to visit our daughter & son in law.

You can also check with Wall Mart for games like Xbox or Playstation etc. They sometimes offer $20 gift cards if you buy a new game from them. Places like Gamestop will not offer this. I lucked out and got a $20 gift card for buying a game my grandson wanted. Killed two birds with one stone.

The Texas Roadhouse is selling a little galvanized bucket, full of peanuts, a gift card ($30.00 minimum) a token for a free kid’s meal, and a certificate for $5.00 off a meal. The bucket is wrapped in candy cane theme cellophane and tied with a pretty ribbon. You can take the bucket back any time and fill it with peanuts free. It is so much nice than just a gift card in an emvelope.

Just remember that if you are sending a gift card find out if it is honoured in the town or city you are sending it to.
    Sometimes it isn’t.
Pizza hut is one that is not honoured here in town even if you got it in the next town over.

Panda Express (where we like to dine) is having a special. Buy a $25 gift card and get a free 2 entree plate. I bought the crd then used it to pay for one 2 entree plate and got the 2nd free (not required to buy one). It’s a win, win for a place we’d eatanyway!

Half Priced books has a gift card deal. It does have a time limit catch…Buy $25 gift card and get a $5 card that can be used in January. I’m not sure how much of a national chain they are; but if you are a bargain book hound then they have some great deals. We spend time and money there so might as well reap a little benefit.
