I have made this French toast for my 12 year old son a few times, and he just loves it!! I have made French toast in the past, but this recipe is much better. This recipe will be a go to recipe in the future for sure, it’s delicious.

When I make French Toast, I mix just egg and milk together. I dip the bread in that mixture and then sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on the bread right when I put it on the griddle. It makes a yummy crunchy crust on the french toast….and when I have leftover egg mixture i just fry it in a pan and make scrambled eggs. No waste?

Thanks for pointing that out Linda. It is a typo and we will change it. Should be 2 eggs

Try triple sec instead of vanilla for a faint orange flavor

Is 1 1/2 cups of milk to 2 eggs correct? That’s a lot of milk. Unless maybe I don’t use enough. My french toast comes out rather eggy. Maybe I need to use more milk.

It is Aileen but you can easily adjust the recipe for your taste. I don’t even use a recipe I just pour the stuff in so it doesn’t need to be exact. Just use 1 egg instead of two. Also if you have any batter left you can put it in the fridge and use it the next day.

We grew up thinking it was made with just egg, half a cp of milk sprinkled with dash of salt. I do love French toast to this day. On occasion now, I will put on a bit of cut peach with canned whip cream. It has been a few years but it keeps it as being a treat. Thanks for the memory!!

Is the 1/2 tsp vanilla the same amount whether you use extract or essence ???

So, what would the recipe for 4 serving?
    And just 1 serving?

Very tasty ..I thought the milk would be too much but it was really good. The vanilla was a great idea.🫂🌹👍🏼😋
