You can easily make this tater tot casserole recipe with just 5 minutes’ work! Then just toss it in the oven and wait for dinner! This tater tot casserole is great to serve anytime, but I prefer to make it more often when it is cool outside or in the summer when the kids have been playing outside and are ired and ready for an easy meal! If your kids are having friends over or if you’re expecting a lot of family with not a lot of notice, this recipe is the perfect easy family dinner!

Ingredients
1 to 2 lbs. hamburger, browned and seasoned to taste
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
8 oz. sour cream
20 oz. frozen mixed veggies, or leftover veggies*
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 lb. bag of Tater Tots
8 oz cheddar cheese or cheese of choice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Gently mix together all of the ingredients except the cheese.
- Place into a greased 9×13 pan.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake at 350° for about 1 hour.
Notes
*Keep a container in the freezer and, when you have a small dab of leftover vegetables, put them in this container to use for recipes like this. This casserole is a great way to use leftover vegetables instead of making the usual veggie soup.
