4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or 6 thighs, or about 8 to 10 chicken tenders) 1 (15–18 oz.) bottle of your favorite barbecue sauce Optional: 1 small onion, thinly sliced; 1 tsp smoked paprika or garlic powder for extra flavor
Instructions
Place the chicken in the bottom of your crockpot.
Pour the barbecue sauce over the chicken. (Add onion or seasonings if using.)
Cover and cook on high 3–4 hours or low 6–7 hours, until the chicken is tender and starting to fall apart.
Shred the chicken with two forks and stir it back into the sauce.

Serving Ideas
Serve on hamburger buns for BBQ sandwiches.
Serve over rice, baked potatoes, or cornbread. (if you server over rice, you don’t need to shred it.)
Use leftovers for wraps, quesadillas, or pizza topping.
