I prefer making this recipe in a frying pan on the stove, but if you like, you can make it in a crockpot or instant pot instead.

Easy Pepper Steak Recipe
- Yield: 4 servings
Ingredients
1 lb. round steak
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
Dash of pepper
1 Tbsp. flour
1/2 cup celery, chopped (optional)
1/4 lb. mushrooms, sliced (optional)
1 medium onion, chopped (optional)
1 Tbsp. oil
1/2 cup water
1 medium green pepper, cut into slivers
2 tomatoes, cut into wedges
1-2 cups cooked rice
Instructions
- Cut round steak into 1×3 inch strips.
- Make the sauce by combining the Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, soy sauce and a dash of pepper.
- Add the meat, flour, celery, mushrooms, and onions to the sauce. Stir to coat.
- Sauté in hot oil until the meat is browned.
- Add water. Cover and simmer for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
- Add the green peppers and simmer until tender.
- Add the tomatoes and mix.
- Cook for 5 more minutes.
- Serve over rice or noodles.
